GreetGEO Webinar Showcases Eco-Friendly Heating Solutions

The webinar will take place on November 17th and will showcase eco-friendly heating solutions. Registration is still open!

GreetGEO is hosting a webinar focused on sustainable heating in urban areas, exploring how CO₂ generated during energy production can be reused for heating residential buildings. The event will feature presentations from two companies showcasing their innovative technologies.

The webinar will take place on November 17 at 14:00 CET and aims to raise awareness and understanding of innovative waste-based technologies for district heating. Participants can register through the online form by clicking the link or scanning the QR code.

Two companies, Thermowatt and eChemicles, will present solutions capable of providing heating for cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants. Their approaches rely on two distinct technologies: CO₂ conversion and wastewater utilization, both applied to heating apartments. These geothermal-based technologies focus primarily on Central and Southern Europe.

Thermowatt has patented a system that recovers energy from wastewater for heating and cooling buildings, with a total thermal capacity exceeding 10 MW.

eChemicles has developed an electrochemical process that converts CO₂ into e-chemicals such as carbon monoxide, ethylene, and other valuable products. The company received the EIT Manufacturing Day BoostUp! award this year and is among the finalists in the Climate, Energy and Mobility category of the European Commission’s Innovation Radar Prize 2025.

The webinar is organized in collaboration with the REHEATEAST and HEAT 35 projects under the Interreg programme and the Greet CE project supported by Horizon Europe. The Hrvoje Požar Energy Institute is a common partner for all of these projects and coordinator of GreetGeo.

Peer-to-peer finance Webinar: Invoice trading crowdfunding in Central Europe

10-11:30 AM CET
22nd October 2025
REGISTRATIONS

In a survey by the Greet CE project conducted in six Central European countries1 and Portugal altogether over 130 SMEs indicated that they have a strong interest in crowdfunding.
This webinar aims to raise awareness and knowledge of invoice trading crowdfunding opportunities. It features leading Central- European crowdfunding service providers (digital platforms) that have relevant references. Invoice trading helps businesses to decrease trade receivables and access cash, improve cash-flow by cashing out unpaid invoices. It is especially relevant for SMEs that sell to larger businesses or public entities.
Crowdfunding has a European regulation now that provides an appropriate legal environment for this financial intermediary activity. Invoice trading has also ready-made software solutions available facilitating market growth.

This webinar is organised jointly by two Horizon Europe Interregional Innovation Investments projects focusing on innovation ecosystems development: Greet CE and Greet Geo.

GREET GEO to Host Workshop at EGC 2025
